L'orange National Campaign

Taking an innocent promise of a kids’ decor brand across India

The essence of childhood nostalgia was captured to create a simple yet meaningful communication.

L’Orange, a Pune-based premium kids’ room décor brand, offers official décor licensed by Avengers, Frozen, Princesses, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Spiderman, and other characters loved by kids. While L’Orange had become a preferred kids’ décor brand in Pune in a span of just 5 years, the brand wanted to reach out to kids across India. The challenge was connecting with people across different demographics.

The products of L’Orange were meant for kids. However, the cost associated with the décor made it imperative for us to connect with the parents – who would be the primary decision makers. We designed a communication around the thought – ‘Fun Bachpan’. The idea was to give a sense of nostalgia for the parents, and then persuade them to gift their kids a memorable childhood. The campaign designs showcased how the products offered by L’Orange delivered on the promise of a happy and memorable childhood. The product installations and themed rooms were showcased in the advertisements in a very strategic manner. Simple design tools were created and incorporated to enhance the product understanding. The time chosen to showcase the campaign in media was the month of March, which would allow parents to gift their kids something special for the summer holidays. The creative ad campaign appeared in multiple editions of the Times of India as half jacket ads as well as in the form of an exclusive 4-Page Supplement. The communication was further supplemented with a social media contest.

It is a mark of the success of the campaign that L’Orange received multiple sales calls from across the country. These ranged from enquiries for franchisees to sales calls. The website also received over 32,000 visits that resulted in thousands of unique registrations.
